Crowns
A crown covers a tooth that's cracked, heavily filled or treated with a root canal, and makes it strong enough to chew on again. Ours are tooth-colored ceramic, shaded to match the teeth around it.

What happens
- 1
Shape the tooth
After numbing, we gently shape the tooth so the crown can fit over it.
- 2
A digital scan
No goopy impressions. A small wand scans your teeth in about two minutes.
- 3
Wear a temporary
You leave with a temporary crown while the lab makes yours.
- 4
Fit the real one
On your second visit we check the fit, color and bite, then bond it in place.
Does it hurt?
The first visit feels like a filling. The tooth may be a little sensitive to cold for a few days.
How we keep you comfortableQuestions people ask
Something else on your mind? Add it to your request and we'll answer when we call.
How long does a crown last?
Often 10 to 15 years or more with good care.
Will it look fake?
No. We match the shade to your own teeth and you'll see it before it's bonded.
Can I eat normally with the temporary?
Mostly. Skip sticky and very hard foods on that side until the real crown is in.
